GET IN GEAR!

Summer's rapidly fading, and it's time for all of us to get in gear for the fall events. We are tanned, highlighted and (in tarabu's case) have been fed funnel cake - it's time to get back to work!

The next event for group members will be the Damascus Day Fair in Damascus, Maryland on Saturday, 6 September. A week after Labor Day, when summer unofficially ends and the Fall Craft Season unofficially begins, Aycee and GetWired will be showing with a group of fabulous artists at the Artway shop on the corner of Main Street and Ridge Road, in Damascus, Maryland.

The Artway shop offers a great variety of products and classes for papercrafters and polymer clay artists and has graciously offered up the use of the classroom space for an informal boutique of handcrafted wares.

In addition to an opportunity to meet the artists, there will be a raffle offering a gift basket valued at over $100, containing work from all the artists present. There will also be goodie bags offered to the first 50 visitors.

Aycee has introduced a line of protective, decorative id badge covers and GetWired is offering delicate beaded earrings in non-tarnishing silver.

Look out for future notes on their latest work and events!

Hello and Welcome

Welcome to the inaugural post for the CRESTcraft blog! We're a small group who are a part of the much larger Etsy CREST team. What is Etsy and what is Crest? Etsy is a retail website offering an opportunity for artisans and handcrafters to connect with conscientious shoppers seeking unique, personal handmade items.
CREST is the Capital Region Etsy Street Team - a collection of artists and artisans from Washington, D.C., Maryland, and the Virginias.
Our next big event where the CRESTcraft mini-team will be together will be April 12-13, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, just North of Baltimore. We will individually be appearing at a variety of shows throughout the spring and summer - you'll find announcements and updates throughout our individual posts.
Our individual sites are listed to the left, so settle in and enjoy a few moments click-through of our shops and wares.
